Are you a Cruiser or Racer looking to sail faster? This is the course for you!
The US Sailing: Performance Sailing with Spinnaker training course is designed for students looking to take their sailing skills to the next level. Successful completion of US Sailing: Basic Keelboat Certification Sailing 101 is a prerequisite to register for Sailing 102.
As US Sailing Association is the governing body for the sport of Sailing, North Cove Sailing is proud to be a US Sailing Certified Teaching School. All of our Instructors are required to hold a US Coast Guard Captain’s License as well as be a US Sailing Association Certified Instructor.
This course includes 16 hours on the water instruction taught on weekends – Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00am to 6:00pm beginning May thru October aboard our fleet of Colgate 26s. Our teaching ratio is 4-5 adults to 1 Instructor for a max of 6 adults on board.
Course Materials:
Performance Sailing with Spinnaker Book along with a Sailing Endorsement Sticker to add to your US Sailing Logbook received from prior Sailing 101: Basic Keelboat Certification course.

9:00am- 1:00pm Part 1 Meet at Classroom – 300 Vesey Street
1:00pm -2:00pm Lunch Break – many great restaurant options at Brookfield Place
2:00pm-6:00pm Part 2
Sunday
9:00am- 1:00pm Part 3 Meet at Classroom – 300 Vesey Street
1:00pm -2:00pm Lunch Break – many great restaurant options at Brookfield Place
2:00pm-6:00pm Part 4

Process to receive US Sailing: Performance Sailing with Spinnaker Endorsement
- Upon completion of the on water section of the course, students have the opportunity to take a classroom exam at the end of the Sunday session.
- Upon passing grade of classroom exam, North Cove Sailing will assign a certification number and sticker to the student to be added to their official US Sailing LogBook from and notify US Sailing Association of passing score.
